The Daqing oil field complex, PetroChina's largest oil-producing complex in its domestic portfolio, is in the Songliao basin. The complex produced over one million barrels per day between 1977 and 2003. After more than 50-year production, the field is depleted quickly. Many Enhance Oil Recovery (EOR) techniques have been implemented to contain decline, including water, foam and polymer flooding. Wider and more extensive EOR implementation is required to enhance recovery.
