Report summary

The Daqing Oil Fields complex is the primary producing area of the Songliao Basin situated in northeast China. PetroChina operates the complex which was discovered in 1959. The Saertu and Xingshugang fields contribute to most of the oil production. However output has gradually declined since 2003 arrested by a range of tertiary recovery projects.
