On 26 September 2019, ExxonMobil announced it had sold its Norwegian upstream business to Vår Energi, in the country's biggest deal in 13 years. The exit brings an end to one of the industry's longest running stories – the Supermajor having been awarded the first ever licence on the NCS.ExxonMobil has achieved an attractive exit price: the US$4.5 billion consideration represents a significant premium to our valuation.
