Report summaryThe giant Johan Sverdrup oil field is potentially the fourth largest discovery offshore Norway. It was discovered in the Central North Sea in the Utsira High play. The field was originally named Avaldsnes and Aldous, after the initial discovery wells, which have since been confirmed as one structure.
