Monument is a large oil field located in the Walker Ridge protraction area of the US Gulf of Mexico. The field was discovered in 2020 by Equinor, Petronas, and Repsol, in what was the first US GoM exploration well operated by Equinor since 2015 as well as Petronas' first participation in a US GoM discovery. Beacon acquired Equinor's 50% interest and operatorship in 2023. The field is part of the Lower Tertiary, ultra-high-pressure trend, and will utilize 20k-psi completions technology while being developed as a tie-back to the Shenandoah FPU 25.0 km (15.5 miles) to the north.
