Monument (WR 272)
Report summary
Monument is a large oil field located in the Walker Ridge protraction area of the US Gulf of Mexico. The field was discovered in 2020 by Equinor, Petronas, and Repsol. This was the first US GoM exploration well operated by Equinor since 2015 and Petronas' first US GoM discovery. In March 2023, Beacon acquired Equinor's 50% interest and operatorship and farmed-out 20% to Navitas Petroleum later in the year.
