The Obodugwa and Obodeti fields were discovered by the TotalEnergies/NNPCL JV on the licence formerly known as OML 56. Obodugwa was renamed Ebendo in 2012 at the request of the local community. The fields are in the northern Niger Delta, and although discovered in 1978 and 1981, they were not developed by the TotalEnergies JV.In 2003, the discoveries were offered in a marginal fields round.
