Asset Report
Pohokura
Report summary
The Pohokura field is located off the northern coast of the Taranaki Peninsula, on a geological trend with the onshore Turangi and Mangahewa gas fields. The development of Pohokura was accelerated after reserves at Maui, then New Zealand's main producing gas field, were downgraded in 2002. FID was taken in June 2004, and production of gas and condensate began in 2006. Pohokura is one of the main sources of New Zealand's domestic gas.
