The Qua Iboe oil pipeline system and terminal now form part of the Seplat/NNPCL offshore joint venture (JV). ExxonMobil agreed to sell its Nigerian JV business to Seplat Energy in 2022. Seplat Energy completed the purchase of ExxonMobil's Nigerian JV business in December 2024 for a price of US$800 million, plus a contingent consideration of up to US$ 300 million.
