Rajasthan (OIL)
Report summary
Gas production from the Rajasthan region started in 1996, from the Oil India Limited (OIL) Dandewala field. Gas is supplied to RRVUNL, a power company based in the Rajasthan state through GAIL's existing network. Current production from the fields is estimated at 30 mmcfd of gas.In 2006, OIL and PDVSA of Venezuela completed a shallow pilot well in the Baghewala heavy oil field.
