US Independents' earnings preview: budgets, balance sheets, and ballots
Report summary
Earnings for the US E&Ps begin this week, with the diversified Hess and ConocoPhillips kicking things off on Wednesday and Thursday. On Friday we get a couple of the big Appalachian players, Cabot and Range, who both hold their call opposite ExxonMobil in the morning, followed by Chevron an hour later. The rest of the E&Ps are spread out through the first week of November, with Occidental the following week. We expect 2021 budget plans, balance sheet updates, ESG, the US election, and M&A to be the main focus on calls.
