Vaca Muerta: will growth be perpetual?
Report summary
Vaca Muerta’s shale play has become the most interesting E&P play in Argentina. A decade after the initial testing phase, shale output represents more than a third of the country’s total hydrocarbon production. The projected outlook for the area is positive, accompanied by increasing capex expenditure and efficiencies in well productivity and costs. Despite the positive outlook, critical challenges remain to be addressed to sustain such scenario.
