Mexico's historic Energy Reform transformed the upstream sector. Five years into the reform, more than thirty E&Ps hold positions offshore and even more onshore. Early rounds are already paying dividends. The world-class discovery at Zama and successful appraisal at Eni's Amoca last summer will begin to offset Mexico's declining production by early next decade. Offshore, Mexico's exploration sector is poised for recovery as operators with more than sixty wells committed by 2024.
