North America gas weekly update: fourth mildest winter to date
Report summary
If this winter were a meal, it’d be porridge—the fourth mildest porridge in the last 30 years. While a little cold is showing up in the latest forecasts, giving some life to February contract prices, it likely won’t be enough to keep end of season inventories from dipping below 1.7 Tcf. Outside of weather, market fundamentals have not shifted much. There have been a few short-term hiccups in LNG feed gas, and production is largely stagnant.
