The climatological peak of Atlantic basin storm season, when conditions are typically most optimal for tropical storms and hurricanes to form, occurs today, 10 September. As it happens, soon-to-form Hurricane Francine is strengthening in the western Gulf of Mexico and likely to threaten greater demand losses than supply as it barrels into the Louisiana Gulf Coast. This weekly natural gas commodity report seeks to explore: • Which LNG projects are at risk from Francine’s impacts? • Is Matterhorn resulting in Permian basis relief? • Will salt storage start injecting again?
