China’s second largest provincial economy, Jiangsu is also one of China’s most wealthy provinces in terms of GDP per capita. Its economy benefits from the presence of high value-added industries and geographic proximity to Shanghai. However, Jiangsu's GDP growth has slowed in recent years and will continue to grow at a modest pace going forward. Overall, we forecast its real economy to grow at a CAGR of 4.9% over the forecast period.
