El Paso copper refinery
Report summary
The refinery is located at El Paso, Texas and has excellent road and rail links with both smelters and customers. The plant was established by Phelps Dodge Corporation, a major producer of primary copper, and the Nichols Copper Company, a pioneer developer of electrolytic refining that had previously refined Phelps Dodge copper at its Laurel Hill refinery in New York.
