Farnborough Airshow 2018: what's happening in the world of nickel alloys?
Report summary
Our attendance at Farnborough Airshow in July highlighted to us why the demand for nickel alloys in aerospace remains strong. However, demand for alloys in other sectors, such as oil and gas, and power generation, is not so strong. New developments of interest include additive manufacturing and electrification, using hybrid turbine/battery powered propulsion. Both could change the aerospace alloys landscape of the future.
