Asset Report
Florida Canyon (including Standard Mine) gold mine
Report summary
Florida Canyon is a conventional open pit operation, located approximately 45 miles southwest of Winnemucca, Nevada, adjacent to Interstate Highway 80. The ore body has been exploited since 1986, with periods of stoppages since being commissioned. ROM ore undergoes two-stage crushing, before being conveyed to the agglomeration unit and onto the stockpile, haul trucks then transport the ore to the leach pads where it is stacked in 20ft lifts (a total of 11 lifts are planned for an ultimate height around 200ft), the pregnant solution is then processed in the carbon-in-column circuit, the slurry then reports to the elution circuit before electrowinning and smelting to produce a dore. The processing plant has an annual capacity of ~8.7Mt and the mine is expected to have approximately a 10 year mine life.
