Report summaryThe refinery is located approximately two miles from the Garfield smelter near Salt Lake City, Utah, and has excellent road and rail links. The plant was commissioned with a capacity of 207kt/a cathode in 1950 and treats anodes from the Garfield smelter. All of the Kennecott operations were shut down from March 1985 to June 1987.
