Pre-LME Week 2021 Copper briefing
Report summary
This time of year would normally see those involved in the mining, processing, financing and selling of Base Metals converging on London. Akin to the last year, most elements of the LME Week will remain virtual. Wood Mackenzie will be hosting our usual Forum on the morning of Wednesday 13 October. The 2021 LME Forum will offer valuable insights on the key short-term drivers impacting mined commodity markets coupled with an in-depth analysis of the challenges and opportunities that the energy transition represents over the longer term. The Wood Mackenzie Copper Team is continually engaging with key industry contacts to gain on-the-ground insight on key issues facing copper. In addition, to support all our clients participating in this year’s LME Week, we have produced a series of three short podcasts sharing insights on copper consumption, concentrates and how the copper market is fairing this year with reference to the “Copper: things to look for in 2021” we published in January 2021.
