Sardana zinc mine
Report summary
Sardana is located in the Ust-Maysky district of the Sakha Republic, in far eastern Russia. Since 2021, the exploration and production licence has been with a subsidiary of Yakut Fuel and Energy Company (YATEK) and limited work has been done to date. A mine life in excess of 12 years is expected from the anticipated rate of production and published resource completed by Siberian Non-Ferrous Metals, but this could be extended if further resources are defined. Metal in concentrate production is planned to be around 150kt/a zinc and 45kt/a lead with silver also recovered.
