Commodity Market Report
Albania downstream oil long-term outlook 2016
Report summary
Albanian oil products demand is met partially by supply from the small-scale Ballsh refinery, operated by ARMO, which is now managed by private company Taci Oil. The remaining majority of supply is imported through the major ports and sold on a wholesale basis to retailers or to large-scale commercial consumers. Under Albanian law, fuel wholesalers are not permitted to also participate in the retail sector, although these regulations are under revision following a regulatory review.
