Report summary
Bonaparte (Petrel/Tern/Frigate) is a proposed development in the offshore Bonaparte Basin, around 260 kilometres west of Darwin. The development consists of the Petrel, Tern and Frigate gas fields. The Petrel field is the largest of the three fields and straddles the maritime boundary between Northern Territory and Western Australia. Tern and Frigate are located approximately 60 kilometres to the southwest and lie wholly within Western Australian waters.
