Russian Federation upstream: 2018 in review
Report summary
Russia's upstream had a great 2018. Three of the world's largest five discoveries were made in the country. Quick ramp up of Yamal LNG fired up investors' interest for new LNG projects in Russia. In parallel, oil and gas operators reached a new monthly liquids production high and a record level of gas production and exports. Two fiscal initiatives were finally adopted: the introduction of the additional profit tax (APT) regime and the tax manoeuvre completion.
