Santos has acquired ConocoPhillips' northern Australia operating interests for US$1.465 billion. The transaction is effective as of 1 January 2019, with completion subject to third-party consent and regulatory approvals. At the core of the deal are upstream and LNG assets that Santos knows well and offer development upside, plus long-term production and cashflow.
