Cat leads Wood Mackenzie’s EMEA team on carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS). She is also responsible for managing the CO2 storage and licensing topics globally, within the wider research suite. In this role, Cat and her team provide insight and strategic analysis on CCUS to project developers, technology providers, investors and governments.

Cat joined Wood Mackenzie in 2024. She started her career working in upstream intelligence and consultancy, followed by a move into a reservoir geology with DONG Energy where she focused on the appraisal and development of discoveries in the West of Shetlands. Cat also spent nine years with Sasol working on the development of assets in Mozambique and offshore Gabon, followed by a number of years in business development, where she took responsibility for the subsurface assessment of conventional and unconventional discovered resource opportunities across sub-Saharan Africa.

Prior to joining Wood Mackenzie, Cat worked at Westwood Energy where her remit covered commercial activities in the North Sea and developing the CCS business.

Cat is a co-convenor for both the GESGB CCS-4G annual conference and the SPE London Women in Energy annual seminar.
