Lawrence has over 12 years of experience within metals and mining in operations, supply chain optimization and research. He joined Wood Mackenzie in 2022 and has been responsible for the steel market research based in Shanghai. His primary focus is supply, demand, prices and trade for Asian steel and ferrous scrap, as well as decarbonisation and green steelmaking projects and techniques.
Prior to Wood Mackenzie, Lawrence had been with BHP for 7 years, holding various roles as a process engineer and a business analyst across different mine sites and corporate functions. He also worked for Vale as a senior analyst covering iron ore processing and quality management.
