Dan brings 20 years of experience within the power and renewables sector to his current role as Global Head of Energy Storage. He leads a research team responsible for delivering strategic market intelligence spanning both commercial and technical issues impacting energy storage’s role within the energy transition.
Dan is a recognised authority on the decarbonisation of power markets and the global renewable energy sector. He has provided strategic support to client executive teams and government entities at the most senior level and is a frequent contributor to major industry periodicals.
Dan joined Wood Mackenzie in 2017 via the acquisition of MAKE, a global wind energy advisory, where he was a Managing Partner. He has helped to transform our economic modelling of power generation assets by successfully integrating Wood Mackenzie’s unrivalled analysis of commodity markets worldwide with the deep technical expertise of research teams from MAKE and GTM.
Earlier in his career, Dan worked in a range of engineering and commercial leadership roles. This includes strategy product and marketing leader for wind at GE Renewables and corporate strategy analyst at hydrogen fuel cell manufacturer Plug Power.
