Cina is a managing consultant on Wood Mackenzie’s metals & mining team, where he supports investors, operators and national governments on complex, long-term strategic decisions. His work has spanned bulk, base and battery metals, as well as oil, gas, renewables and low-carbon fuels. Cina also helps lead Wood Mackenzie’s public sector engagement.

Prior to joining Wood Mackenzie, Cina was part of Rio Tinto’s international affairs & strategy team, where he focused on battery materials and critical minerals. Cina has worked closely in recent years to help actors understand the geopolitical complexities of the energy transition and is often invited by various entities to share his views on commodity markets, international development and geopolitics. He frequently briefs high-level policymakers, advises investment funds and collaborates closely with organisations including the Aspen Institute, Columbia Center on Global Energy Policy, International Institute for Sustainable Development and the World Bank.
