Elyse joined Wood Mackenzie in 2017 as an analyst on our North America coal research team. She produces long-term and short-term forecasts that reflect our view of supply, demand, stockpiles, prices and global trade. She is based in the Chicago office and focuses on US thermal coal assets, markets and policy analysis.
Prior to joining Wood Mackenzie, Elyse worked in the US EPA’s Office of Air and Radiation. She was a member of the teams that crafted the Obama Administration’s Clean Power Plan to reduce carbon emissions from the power sector and the Cross-State Air Pollution Rule to help downwind states meet air quality standards. She also conducted analyses of proposed climate legislation for members of congress and evaluated voluntary energy efficiency programs.
Earlier in her career, Elyse was an energy analyst at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory supporting the US Department of Energy's Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy.
